What You May Not Know About Salt

Feel tired? Suffer from fluid retention? Blood pressure too high ? Suffer from arthritis, rheumatism, gout or osteoporosis? If so, your choice of salt could be the answer.

Salt is sodium chloride which, in limited amounts, is useful to the body.

Together with potassium it helps with keeping fluid (e.g. water) correctly balanced. The maximum recommended adult intake of salt daily is 6 grams, yet the average adult ingests about 9 grams.
