How to use Gourmet Mix seeds for sprouting

Before sowing, rinse thoroughly in fresh water.

Development of tiny fibrous roots may occur.

Germination time may vary with temperature.

Amount per tray / jar: 2 tablespoons of seeds

Soaking: 2 hours Temperature: 18 – 22oC

Water: Twice daily

Ready to eat: After approximately 4 days

... are the white fibre roots of the young sprouts.


bioSnacky roots

They look like fluff or very fine fur. Mustard, red radish, white radish and alfalfa in particular develop these roots.
Often confused for mildew, the sprouts are then wrongly thrown away. You should smell them first – mildew smells of mould, while the roots smell fresh or even have a strong, spicy scent depending on the variety.
