Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp FCP olive oil
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 can (796 ml)  crushed tomatoes with the juice
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed and finely chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp chili seasoning
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 500 ml (2 c.) cooked beans (pinto, mung, white beans) 
  • 125 ml (½ c.) orange lentils (not necessary to cook them ahead of time)
  • 125 ml (½ c.) water
  • ½ tsp Herbamare® Zesty

Preparation:

Brown the vegetables, garlic, onion and bell pepper in oil. Add the can of tomatoes, carrots, spices, beans, lentils and water. Cook for 25-30 minutes.
