Each tablet contains:

Dosage
Adults: place 2 tablets under the tongue, 3 times daily, 15 minutes before meals. Allow to slowly dissolve in the mouth.
In acute cases: take 2 tablets hourly, gradually reducing the frequency as improvement occurs, or as directed by a health care professional.

Gastronol targets one of the most frequent problems of modern life: digestive disorders. Today, too few people are willing to treat themselves to the "luxury" of taking the time to eat. The proliferation of "drive-thrus" and fast food demonstrates the low value we attach to meals. And yet, we all know that health begins in our plate! The result: heartburn, flatulence, postprandial drowsiness, etc.

Aesculus hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) 4 X
The chestnut tree is a member of the Hippocastanacae family and grows in Asia Minor and the Himalayas.
Part used: ripe fruit without its external husk.
Aesculus hippocastanum is mostly known for its venal tropism. However, its use for digestive problems is just as interesting. Aesculus is recommended for the patient with a congestion of the portal system. The latter typically suffers from abdominal bloating with a feeling of fullness, heartburn immediately following meals and bitter or food-tasting acid eructation (reflux). He has liver pains with a palpable liver and may also suffer from constipation. Aesculus hippocastanum relieves the feeling of abdominal fullness and of intestinal rumblings.
Alumina (oxide of aluminum or bauxite) 8 X
Alumina is a clay containing aluminum.
Alumina is recommended for the patient suffering from an overall dryness with a difficulty to swallow food, the need to sip small amounts of water frequently, heartburn and esophageal constrictions. A chronic sticky catarrh and a dry constipation complete the symptomatic picture. The symptoms are aggravated by cold and/or dry food and by starch (especially potatoes).
Argentum nitricum (nitrate of silver) 6 X
Silver nitrate comes either from the mineral, acanthite, or from the chemical reaction between silver and nitric acid. It is still used undiluted as caustic to burn warts.
Argentum nitricum targets ulcerations and gnawing gastric pains afflicting the fast-eating nervous patient. The associated symptoms may be related to abdominal wind: painful swelling of the pit of the stomach (epigastrium), noisy eructation, flatulence and a tendency to spasms. The pains generally appear soon after meals, are aggravated by warm beverages and sweets and improved by eructation, cold beverages and vomiting.
Bryonia alba (Wild Hops) 4 X
Wild hops is a member of the Cucurbitacae family and comes from Central Europe and Asia Minor.
Part used: root.
Bryonia alba targets the person that cannot stand to be touched. Its symptomatic picture includes an intense thirst with dry mouth and lips, a painful swelling of the abdomen, eructation and nausea after meals. The symptoms are aggravated after meals and by motion, touch and cold beverages. There is a frequent desire to take a long breath which is often aggravating. They are improved by a pressure on the abdomen, warm compresses, warm beverages and rest.
Colocynthis (Citrullus colocynthis or Bitter Cucumber) 4 X
Bitter Cucumber is a member of the Cucurbitacae family and comes from North Africa, the Near East and the dry areas of Southern Asia.
Part used: fruit without seeds.
Colocynthis is recommended for the patient suffering from violent cramps and colic that force him to double up with pain, from bloating and, generally, diarrheic stool. Symptoms are typically improved by flatulence.
Colocynthis acts on the intestininal smooth muscle, relieving muscle contractions and neuralgia. It is recommended for gastro-intestinal tenesmus.
Nux vomica (Strychnos nux vomica or Poison-Nut) 4 X
Poison-Nut is a member of the Loganiacae family and comes from Southeastern Asia, from Pakistan to Vietnam.
Part used: coarsely ground seeds.
Nux vomica is a homeopathic remedy perfectly targeted for modern-day men. It is recommended for the stress-ridden patient that drinks too much coffee, smokes too much, needs a glass of alcohol to unwind, likes to eat well (and eats too much) and often needs to loosen his belt. His symptoms include an after-meal feeling of heaviness, bloating in the pit of the stomach (epigastrium), frequent backaches, uncontrollable yawns and hiccoughs. In the first days of treatment, an initial aggravation of symptoms may occur. This positive manifestation will soon subside and indicates that the body is responding to treatment. When this happens, reduce the dosage by half and gradually increase according to symptoms.
Note: Do not take more than 36 tablets within 24 hours nor take the maximum dosage for more than 2 weeks unless advised by a health professional.
