In addition to providing high quality, clinically proven products like Echinaforce to help support the immune system during a time when it is needed the most, A.Vogel Canada has proudly partnered with the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Foundation in support of the McGill Interdisciplinary Initiative in Infection and Immunity (MI4) by making a $100,000 donation to help combat the current threat of COVID-19.
With this meaningful collaboration, A.Vogel Echinaforce will match every gift made to MI4, dollar to dollar, up to a maximum of $100,000, doubling the impact of gifts made to this important research initiative.
Indeed, MI4 reaches across campuses, hospitals, institutes and labs bringing together more than 250 experts and 5,000 staff in infectious and immune diseases. These research leaders are actively pursuing multiple ambitious projects to reduce the threat of coronavirus, stop its spread and treat those who are hardest hit.
As cases of COVID-19 in Canada continue to accelerate rapidly, MI4 is:
- Providing clinical care and advocacy for COVID-19 patients and offering community education
- Pursuing multiple research initiatives to improve our understanding of how SARS-CoV-2 (the COVID-19 virus) causes disease and developing new approaches for the surveillance, diagnosis and management of COVID-19
- Advising Quebec and Canada Health Ministries on policies, procedures and decision-making related to the novel coronavirus
Tackling the COVID-19 outbreak is the just one of the essential research projects on infection and immunity that you can help accelerate by supporting MI4. While the urgent need for a medical solution is a global priority, another issue closer to home is the record high demand on Food Banks for support. This has put less fortunate Canadians at risk of being unable to feed their families. To help, A.Vogel will be donating both food and remedy products to Montreal Moisson, a member of Food Banks Canada. We encourage you all to open your hearts and pantries to do the same for your local organizations.
We still remain in operation
While A.Vogel still remains in operation, the safety of our consumers and staff are our top priority. Our sales force and administrative staff are all working from home as per governmental guidelines. To continue to serve you in a safe and secure way, we are operating with a skeleton staff of warehouse clerks and customer service representatives who are rigidly following safety protocols.
Wishing you all the best of health,
Mackie I. Vadacchino
