This World Environment Day, we’re supporting green energy!

The creation of A.Vogel was directed by the life philosophies of Alfred Vogel, who believed that life, and healing, must be rooted in a deep respect for nature: “It is never too late to start supporting nature in its urge to heal,” said Vogel…

At A.Vogel, we continue to operate as sustainably as possible to stay true to these beginnings: the plants sown in our fields are cultivated without the use of fertilizers, pesticides, weeding or fungicides, and we support sustainable farming projects across the country.

Sustainable production of our crops is not the only way to stay green, though. In an effort to continually reduce our environmental impact, A. Vogel signed on for 100% green energy with Bullfrog Power in 2015. With their green electricity and green natural gas products, we’re able to reduce our energy-related environmental impact and support the development of new green energy projects across Canada.

Founded in Ontario in 2005, Bullfrog Power now provides green energy choices to all Canadian homes and businesses. For our Canadian operations, we decided to choose 100% green electricity and 100% green natural gas.

But what does that mean?

Bullfrog’s generators inject 100% green electricity and 100% green natural gas onto the respective energy systems to match the amount of conventional energy that our office uses, displacing energy from conventional, polluting sources. Bullfrog ensures that the energy going onto the grid or pipeline on our behalf is coming from clean, green sources.

Across Canada, Bullfrog’s green electricity comes from a blend of wind and low-impact hydro power sourced from new Canadian renewable energy facilities. Bullfrog’s green natural gas is sourced from a unique ground-breaking methane capture project situated on one of Canada’s landfills. At the site, biogas is captured, cleaned up, and injected onto the national natural gas pipeline.

A. Vogel is proud to support green energy this World Environment Day, and to continue to lead the way to a cleaner, healthier world.
