Cleansing herbs for muscles and joint pain

Stinging Nettle

Stinging Nettle has a very strong cleansing action in the body. It behaves as a blood tonic and its action is both to bring nutrients to the tissues as well as taking away undesirable wastes.

Stinging Nettle is ideal as a cleansing herb for all arthritic and rheumatic complaints, especially where there is a tendency for acidity to build up.

It is particularly good for gouty conditions as it reduces acidity, flushing uric acid out of the body. The mildly cleansing, detoxifying action is useful for all these conditions, so Stinging Nettle is a good adjunct to any treatment plan. The herb also contains the mineral silica, which is useful for rebuilding connective tissue. Stinging nettle is also a mild anti-inflammatory that can support Devil’s Claw action. As it is a natural antihistamine, it can reduce ‘detox’ type reactions.
